Roll Off Joe

Have a waste removal-related question? We have the answer. Check out these FAQs and give us a call today for more information!

  • What happens if I miss garbage day?

If you forget to put your garbage out on the scheduled pickup day, Roll Off Joe can arrange an alternative pickup before your next scheduled service, subject to availability. A small turnaround fee may apply for this convenience. For larger or repeated needs, we also offer commercial dumpster rentals, which provide a flexible solution for homes and businesses needing extra waste capacity.
  • When should I put my garbage out?

To ensure timely collection, place all garbage containers at the roadside the evening before your scheduled pickup day. For those concerned about wildlife, bear straps or secured lids can prevent animals from accessing the waste. For ongoing projects or large-volume needs, our roll off dumpsters can be delivered and placed conveniently for temporary storage and easy removal of debris.
  • What items are not accepted?

Our weekly garbage and recycling service is limited to household waste only. Items such as construction debris, yard or organic waste, hazardous materials, and excessive amounts from spring cleaning are not accepted. For these situations, Roll Off Joe provides dumpster rental services to safely handle large or specialty waste items, ensuring proper disposal while keeping your property clean and compliant with local regulations.
  • What if I have more garbage than fits in the pail?

Our standard service is restricted to the contents of a 96-gallon pail. Drivers cannot collect extra bags placed beside or protruding from the container. If you consistently generate more waste, you can upgrade to commercial dumpster rentals, which allow you to manage larger amounts of garbage efficiently with scheduled pickups and flexible rental periods.
  • What if my garbage hasn't been picked up yet?

Collection times can vary throughout the day, so please ensure your pail is out the night before. If it is before 3:00 pm, your driver may still be on route. For customers managing large projects or excess waste, roll off dumpsters are available to provide reliable and convenient waste collection without daily scheduling concerns.
  • How does the billing work?

We offer flexible billing cycles, including monthly, quarterly, or annual options, all at the same rate. Payments can be made via phone, check, online, or autopay. Bills are issued on the 1st of each month and are due by the 15th. Quarterly payments are due by the 15th of the first month of each quarter. Autopay transactions are processed on the 1st of the month. For check payments, please mail to: Roll Off JOE, P.O. Box 246, Westtown, NY 10998. You can also view your account history and make payments online at www.trashbilling.com using your account number. For businesses or large projects requiring more waste capacity, we also provide dumpster rental services, which can be billed according to the size and duration of your rental, giving you complete flexibility and transparency.
  • How do you handle holidays and weather?

Roll Off Joe strives to maintain regular collection schedules during holidays and inclement weather. Any updates regarding holiday or weather-related changes will be communicated via our Facebook page and email notifications. For extended projects or disruptions, roll off dumpsters can be rented to manage waste safely until normal service resumes.
  • Do I need to bag garbage and recycling?

All garbage should be bagged to prevent it from sticking to the container or attracting pests. Recycling can be placed loose in the bin for single-stream processing. We encourage you to keep your pail clean. If it becomes damaged, please send us a photo via text or email. We will replace it at no cost if the damage is our fault, but a fee may apply if it's due to customer negligence. For larger jobs or ongoing cleanup projects, Roll Off Joe offers dumpster rental services to accommodate mixed waste, bulky items, and higher volumes without worry.
  • Are there contracts?

No contracts are required. Roll Off Joe focuses on retaining customers through quality service rather than binding agreements. For businesses or long-term projects, we can provide commercial dumpster rentals on flexible terms, ensuring you have reliable waste management without unnecessary commitments.
  • What about bear attacks?

Roll Off Joe is not liable for garbage scattered by animals. While we attempt to collect bagged trash, loose waste remains the homeowner's responsibility. Customers may use bear-proof containers and can request a Roll-Off Joe sticker for identification. For large-scale waste or project sites, our roll off dumpsters provide a secure and convenient solution to minimize animal interference and keep your property clean.
  • What happens if I miss garbage day?

Should you forget to place your garbage out on your scheduled pickup day, we can schedule an alternative collection before your next regular service date, depending on availability. Please be aware that a turnaround fee will be charged. To request this service, send us a message including your phone number so we can coordinate the rescheduled collection.
  • When should I put my garbage out?

We advise placing all containers at the roadside the evening before your scheduled pickup day. For customers concerned about wildlife, you may utilize a bear strap to secure your containers. Our drivers are equipped to remove these straps during the emptying process.
  • What items are not accepted?

Our weekly garbage and recycling service accommodates regular household waste only. We cannot accept construction debris, yard or organic materials, hazardous substances, or large volumes such as those generated from spring cleaning activities. For bulky item removal, we provide a once-monthly pickup service or dumpster rental options. Please reach out to us for additional information regarding these services.
  • What if I have more garbage than fits in the pail?

Our service is limited to the contents of a sealed 96-gallon container. Our drivers cannot collect additional bags placed alongside or extending from the container. If you regularly exceed this capacity, please reach out to us to discuss upgrading your service with an additional container for an additional fee.
  • What if my garbage hasn't been picked up yet?

Collection schedules may fluctuate throughout the day. Please confirm your container is positioned the night before your scheduled pickup. If it is before 3:00 pm, your driver is likely still completing their route. We respectfully request that you wait until after 3:00 pm before reaching out regarding a missed collection.

Customers may use bear-proof containers, and we can supply a Roll-Off JOE identification sticker for these containers.
